Hi Nickova – I am Judy and I work for a Mental Health Charity called ESRA in Redhill- we specialise in employment support and found your leaflet in the Belfry Centre – we have groups of clients who suffer from mental ill health and I was interested whether you did workshops ( like Art Matters) for this client group?
Looking forward to hearing from you
Regards
Judy
Hi Judy
Many thanks for getting in touch. We do work with people suffering mental ill health although we are not set up for regular workshops as we don’t have our own studio space. We work with organisations like yours for example, taking projects to the institution or hiring a space for the duration of the projects/workshops. Our workshops will be on Saturdays. We are providing free consultation to talk to you about the potential participants, there needs and the layout of the project. We suggest for participants, to develop during the process, to book a minimum of four Saturday sessions (4- 6hrs/session) There is a possibility to take a ‘taster-session’ for a Saturday workshop for which we charge between £300 – £600 depending on number of participants, there needs, time and if working with 1 or 2 artists. We have also experience in fundraising and if you wish to apply for funding to support a longer duration of a project we are happy to work with you.
I hope I have given you a little bit of an idea about how we work. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any more enquiries or if you wish to book a free 1 hrs consultation with us.
Best wishes,
Nickova
The Arts Council England Lottery Funding has awarded the artist Nickova with a grant towards the project ‘Exploration’, providing the opportunity for people with learning disabilities to take part in an exciting visual art project.
March - June 2009.
Nickova was working in partnership with artist Sue Sargeaunt.
The project was also supported by Colebrook Day Centre, Redhill, Surrey, SIAC (Surrey Integreated Arts Consortium) and Brewers, Redhill.
